Sustainable asset performance
Midyan integrates environmental performance into design, delivery, and long-term ownership. Where appropriate, developments pursue frameworks such as EDGE certification through GBCI, with energy, water, and material-efficiency targets defined from the design stage and carried through delivery and operation. EDGE is an International Finance Corporation standard, administered under the World Bank Group.
Resource efficiency
Developments incorporate measures such as efficient cooling and lighting systems, high-performance glazing and insulation, water-efficient fixtures, and optimised network design. These decisions reduce resource demand and support operating efficiency over time.
Durability and safety
Midyan specifies assets for safe, accessible, and dependable performance. Each development is assessed against applicable codes, technical requirements, and operator standards, including accessibility criteria and fire and life safety requirements. Materials and systems are selected with maintenance and long-term use in mind.
Community contribution
Midyan considers community impact across the asset lifecycle, from local employment and supply-chain activity during construction to the services, institutions, and economic activity supported once each development becomes operational. At AIA, the construction and commissioning phase alone created 490 temporary jobs.
ESG and governance
Environmental, social, and governance considerations are integrated into development and ownership decisions. LS Investment provides holding-level oversight, with clear accountability for capital allocation, risk management, compliance, and long-term value.
